About Nick

Nick Laʻa is a Hawaiian recording artist and multi-instrumentalist from Oʻahu whose music brings together island roots, soulful vocals, and a wide-ranging musical sensibility. His releases include “All I Can Do,” “Anything,” “Weak,” and “Ka Lei ʻO Punahou,” offering listeners an introduction to his sound and artistry.

A performer since childhood, Nick attended Punahou School and continued his musical development at Berklee College of Music. Mentored by Brother Noland and Kristian Lei, he draws on Hawaiʻi’s musical traditions while exploring his own creative direction. In 2025, the Henry Kapono Foundation recognized him as an “On the Rise Artist.”

Onstage, Nick performs solo, in intimate duo settings, and with the Laʻa Band. His performances span original music, Hawaiian mele, and contemporary interpretations, with appearances at venues including Halekulani and Halepuna. He is also available for weddings, private gatherings, and corporate events.
